Due to the ongoing demand for our skills, we are expanding our team in the United Kingdom, and we are seeking consultants and senior consultants to work on projects anywhere in the United Kingdom or internationally, both on a short-term or permanent basis.
Position Overview
Working with high street retailers and international brands, you will assist Kurt Salmon’s clients in the areas of retail operations, design and product development, buying and merchandising and supply chain management. Using your industry background and Kurt Salmon’s proven methodologies, you will help clients to achieve operational excellence. You will be providing practical solutions for our clients that have measurable and lasting results.

Candidate Qualifications
- You will either be currently working in retail, and seeking the variety and challenge that a role in consultancy brings, or a consultant or senior consultant who wants to deepen their industry knowledge in a specialist management consultancy. We require a minimum of two years’ experience either in a trading/commercial function with a leading brand or retailer or a strong track record in management consulting, which should include work in the retail industry.
- You must have a strong academic background with a minimum 2:1 or equivalent from a top university.
- You must have strong analytical skills and be highly confident using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- You will need high levels of personal motivation and energy and a strong ability to communicate at all levels.
- A passion for retail and consumer products is essential.
- Fluency in a second language would be a strong advantage, but is not essential.
Location and Travel
We have offices in Manchester and London and would prefer applicants to live within a reasonable distance of these offices. You will need flexibility and resilience to maintain a travel schedule covering the United Kingdom and Europe.
